How often do I need wax
Waxes can last anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 months depending on how the type of wax and the process it was applied with. If you have your vehicle buffed first, the wax will last longer because the paint is much cleaner and will therefore adhere better. If you use a quality carnauba wax after buffing, you could get 6 months of protection. If you double up that coat of wax and use a carnauba/ polymer blended wax, you could get 8-12 months of protection. But, all that depends on the climate, how often you wash your car, if you hand wash it or machine wash it, and many other variables. For instance, if you have a black or dark colored car, it will heat up much hotter in the sun than a white car. This will cause many waxes to break down and decrease there effectiveness. We suggest waxing every 2-3 months and having the car buffed once a year. That will help maintain that factory finish.
